Babies can communicate months before they can talk using sign language. Research shows that babies who sign do better in reading once they get to school. Many parents report that signing with their baby decreases tantrums and frustration over communication. This workshop will teach you basic American Sign Language (ASL) to begin teaching your baby to sign. We will learn words that you can use everyday in daily routines such as: feeding, diaper changing, and sleep time. Taught by Helisa Katz, M.A., a certified sign language interpreter and credentialed teacher of the deaf. Bring baby too!
