We first met Lorna when my daughter was 3 and was Bryn's hula dance teacher at Rancho Viejo School. Our daughter is now 10 and we are still have much respect for "Miss Lorna". She has been nothing but warm, generous, kind and gracious as a host of a party or simply as a former teacher and friend of our family.

There are so many good things to say about the Leilua Hula School! My daughters are presently taking hula lessons there, and they LOVE it! My youngest daughter celebrated her birthday at the school, and it was such a positive experience for her, her friends, and classmates. Ms. Lorna is very family-oriented and truly cares for each individual student. My family absolutely loves the way Ms. Lorna treats everyone as a family member ("Ohana"). We are very fortunate and grateful to have found a school whose owner and teachers bring about the best in my daughters! Mahalo Ms. Lorna and those who help at the Leilua Hula School!

My daughter has been happily taking classes at Leilua Hula for over a year now. When her 5th birthday came in November, there was no other place for her to have her birthday party. It was the best party she's had, by far!!! All of the children had a wonderful time, and Ms. Lorna has the gift of making even the most shy child comfortable. The children made beautiful flower leis to take home, and Ms. Lorna taught the girls several songs to dance to. The children participated in a ceremonial birthday song for my daughter, which was very special and touching. The party was exactly what we had hoped for for our daughter's 5th birthday. It's one we will never forget! My daughter began taking classes more than a year ago, and at the time, was so shy she wouldn't even speak while at preschool. Now, she can't get enough of hula and has performed many times on stage in front of hundreds of people....and LOVES it!! I can't express my gratitude to Ms. Lorna enough for what she has done for my child. She has instilled the confidence and pride in my child that I once feared she would never gain. She has successfully instilled the spirit of Ohana in all who are fortunate enough to have her in their lives (and hearts) and for that, I am eternally grateful.

I heard that my nephew and nieces and even my sister were taking hula lessons and I thought, ok, that's kinda unusual. So this past summer I was visiting and they happened to have a performance scheduled that I could watch. I was blown away by the performance. Leilua Hula had everyone from small kids to grown adults performing at different times and they were all just amazing.
I remember seeing hula dancers at a luau years ago in Hawaii but this was far better. I had no idea how much energy and work goes into a hula performance. Now I see why my nephew, nieces and my sister are hooked.
I live in Dallas and now my fiance wants me to find us a place to take hula lessons together. So if Leilua Hula ever decides to expand to Dallas you have 2 lifetime students right here.
I will say that after the performance I got to meet Lorna and I think she is a genuinely big hearted person...as did my fiance. So best of luck to you and everyone at Leilua Hula.

We live in Newport Beach and my daughter attends lessons every week. The best rates for an A++ hula school. Everyone there is like family and now my son is starting. He asked to be signed up after watching a performance. I think he fancies one of the dancers but he said he likes how the men and boys are portrayed as tough. Love this school and Lorna has been such a gem- my kids just love her! She works hard to teach the kids and also let them branch out into performances when they are ready. The confidence the training has instilled in my daughter is priceless.
